In the year 1963, humanity discovered a Terminal from a long-dead race, allowing them to teleport throughout the galaxy and make contact with other sentient races. 200 years later, it's the year 2163 and space travel has become widespread among humans.

The largest starport on earth is Universe City, a high-tech metropolis with a high population both of earthlings and races from all across the galaxy.
