Ever wanted to kick off your shoes and walk barefoot through a mossy forest, or even to your local shops? Well this is the place for you! Go Barefoot is a server for people who love to go for barefoot walks - or would like to try! Come say hi, and we'll help you get started :D We have dozens of friends here who all enjoy walking unshod, and some of us have given up shoes completely. It's healthy, fun, it builds confidence - and you won't regret it! Modern shoes are very badly designed: they are too rigid, causing muscle atrophy; they are too narrow, causing bunions and bunched up toes; they often have higher heels, causing bad posture and back problems; they promote heel striking when walking and running, causing knee problems. Luckily, the solution for all for these problems is simple: kick off your shoes! Walking barefoot strengthens foot and ankle muscles, lets your toes splay back into their natural positions, and promote better posture and walking/running gaits. And let's be real, being able to feel the ground under your feet is just plain fun! Our soles have over 200'000 nerve endings, actually using them feels nice because that's what they're there for! Additionally, walking barefoot will strengthen your soles. At first, you might find it difficult or even painful to walk without the protection of shoes; thankfully, the skin of your soles will gradually become thicker and stronger! Remember to start slowly and gradually increase your barefooting time, as you are training muscles and skin you almost never used before!
