This game is a gritty fight between the Technocrats, science based mages that seek to control the whole world of magic and keep the unaware, or as we call sleepers powerless, and the traditionalists who seek transcendence and want the world to be full of wonder and mystery. Between these two groups there are many other kinds of magic users, such as the nephandi and the marauders who want to send the world back into primordial chaos, or the sorcerers who wield pure energy with an explosive temper, or the witches and warlocks who summon dark spirits into the world. Not only that but other beings such as the hunters, vampires, lycanthropes, demons, angels, aliens, fae, and much more who all have their own goals seeking power and understanding with magick or technology.
