Description

In 2005, a group of First Years who had just entered the Jujutsu Society found themselves facing a tragedy that would shake the very foundations of the society they had just become a part of. The story is a dark one, and while explicit details are not given, it is clear that only a handful of First Years managed to survive until the end of the year. The reason for this massacre is attributed to an unknown group of unregistered cursed spirits that had somehow managed to infiltrate the society undetected. These cursed spirits were incredibly powerful and had the ability to systematically take out both the Tokyo and Kyoto First Years. What made matters worse was that these cursed spirits had also targeted and eliminated numerous Pro Sorcerers, leaving the Jujutsu Society in a state of panic and desperation. The society became more and more reliant on the students' abilities, and their development into competent sorcerers was hastened. One of the key reasons why the Jujutsu Society was so vulnerable was because they lacked an Heir to the Gojo Clan's powerful techniques. The Gojo Clan was one of the three great families of old, and their techniques were some of the most powerful in the society. However, they had not produced an Heir in quite some time. The Kamo and Zenin families were also considered to be part of the three great families of old, but they too had not produced a user of significant strength in the past decades. The lack of a true ace in the hole left the Jujutsu Society vulnerable to attacks, and they struggled to hold on in the face of the cursed spirits' onslaught. Despite the odds, the Jujutsu Society managed to survive the year, and towards the end of 2005, the attacks suddenly stopped.
