About the community
.ex is an environment for agentic thinking, meta-intelligence, and cognitive development. We analyze ideas together with the way people think, choose, and act. Topics include philosophy, science, cognitive science, technology, culture, psychology, and AI. A topic matters when it reveals how a position is built: which frames it uses, which assumptions stay hidden, where the argument rests on evidence, and where it is driven by emotion, habit, status, or borrowed expectations. The core focus is agency: the ability to shape your own thoughts, goals, direction, and actions. We practice metacognition, frame plasticity, critical and systems thinking, self-authorship, counterargument work and the link between understanding and action. This is not a place for passive reading or casual chat. The format requires participation: formulating positions, asking questions, reconstructing another person's frame, finding weak points in your reasoning, responding to objections, and contributing to the environment. The server includes thesis threads, argument and concept analysis, research discussions, debates, readings, lectures, voice discussions, a text library, and internal practice experiments. Access to the main channels opens after an entry stage. We look at how a person reasons in practice: how they handle questions, disagreement, criticism, uncertainty, and direct feedback. .ex has two readings. From Latin, ex means movement out of something: beyond the frame, beyond the template. In English, ex also points to a former version of yourself. The dot at the beginning marks the end of a previous form and the beginning of the next one. Development here means continuous reconstruction of thinking, direction, and action. We are few because most people want a simpler social format.
