1987, Austin, Texas. The coming of the information age. The rival of crimping irons and neon colors. A strange magic emerges.

About the community

For the last 50 years almost, Thaumaturgy; the practice of miracles, specifically magic, has existed in the Modern United States. The practitioners of this miracle art have been long oppressed and 1987 is no different except for one thing, trouble brewing on the Horizon. Conflicts with Arcanum, a group of extremists who believe in the liberation of magic. The growing threat of critters, creatures afflicted by thaumaturgy which have become violent and capable of rituals themselves. A sudden outcropping of historical texts suggesting an extinction event and that this may have happened in the past already. The ever teetering political balance in Texas and the wider United States between lobotomization of these miracle workers. And of course, at the end of the day, all the other problems of the late 80's. -- We offer - A unique setting, power system, and dozens of unique dynamics. -A helpful staff with open positions. -A LGBTQ+ and PoC friendly space. -Game Night and other community pings. -Active and interactive owners open to questioning!
